FAQS

• How many days in advance can I book for Machu Picchu?

The sooner the better! Machu Picchu tickets get sold out very fast. In order for me to capture the best moments of your visit, I should get the exact same ticket and entry time as you. That way we can meet in Machu Picchu Town and get into the citadel together.

• Can we have our pictures in the Sacred Valley?

Yes! The Sacred Valley is beautiful and if you love nature and want your pictures to have a landscape background: This must be the place!

If you want your pictures to have more peruvian-iconic background we could start at Ollantaytambo and then go along the valley (Maras, Moray, Huaypo) for more nature scenery.

It takes about 90 minutes to get from Cusco city to the Sacred Valley, the best way to go is by car from Cusco city. If you're already in the Valley, we still need a car to get from one spot to the other.

• How many outfits can I bring?

Usually 1 or 2, depending on the time we have for the photoshoot. But even if you only bring 1 outfit, I always encourage you to bring an extra jacket, sunglasses, a hat or any other prop you wish to include.

Please note that Cusco streets aren’t completely flat, but are mainly cobbled and full of ups and downs. So please come with very comfortable shoes because we’ll to a lot of walking.

• What's the best time of the day for the photoshoot?

My favorite time of the day to shoot is early in the morning, usually around 7:30, 8:00 or 8:30 because the streets aren't busy yet and light (specially in Cusco city) is phenomenal. But if you aren't much of a morning person or prefer the golden hour light, we can definitely do the photoshoot in the afternoon. Afternoon hours work beautifully in the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Cusco city.

• About toddlers and kids in the photoshoot.

I highly recommend telling your children that we will have a photoshoot which won't be too long (neither too short), and that it will require some walking. This way they will know what to expect and won't get cranky after the first 20 minutes. Likewise, in my 8 years of experience photographing families, I have found that the most collaborative children are the ones who know they will get some kind of reward later.
